One application field for e.con converters is test benches for components of high voltage and energy transmission technology. Specifically, this involves transformers, chokes, and tap changers.

The e.con converter generates artificial networks (single-phase and multi-phase) using step-up transformers with programmable properties such as harmonics, asymmetries, grid disturbances (Low Voltage Ride Through LVRT), and much more.

The converters are currently designed for continuous power of up to 30 MVA through parallel connection. The test benches are used both in development and later in production (end-of-line test benches).

  • Safety technology: EN ISO 13849, DIN EN 62061, PLe / SIL 3
  • All systems have the ability for reactive power and harmonic compensation.
